|Maurice Joseph Pollet, 89, of Harvard, died Thur., Feb. 8 at Crystal Pines Rehab
& Healthcare Nursing Home in Crystal Lake.
Maurice was born Aug. 5, 1928 to Octave J. and Anita M. (Landry) Pollet in White
Castle, LA. He married Jeannie M. Miller on July 2, 1979 in Aurora, IL. He served
in the US Marine Corps and worked for Deans Food in Chemung, IL. He loved
camping and enjoyed the annual pig roast they had at the camp ground. His home
was always open to friends and family.
Survivors include his daughter-in-law: Julaine Miller of Harvard, grandchildren:
James (Annamarie) Miller of Harvard and Kim (Richard) Williams of Crystal Lake,
great grandchildren: Tara O’Neill, Kyle Jenkins, Casey Jenkins, Zachery Platt, and
Elizabeth Platt, Great-Great Grandchild: Amanda Jenkins, Special Friend:
Marjorie Dundee of Bradenton, FL, 1 brother: Eugene (Judy) Pollet of Woodstock
and 1 sister: Florence (Joseph) Lopez of Addis, LA, and 1 son: Bob Noble of Ace,
Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sons: Jeffrey Pollet and Edward Miller,
brothers: Sitman, Floyd, Earl, and Guy Pollet, sisters: Annie (Joseph) Babin, Marie
(Herman) Courtade, Clara (Leo) Richard, Loraine (Eugene) McQuiston, Virginia
(Eugene) Brennecka, and Janet (Hillery) Goudet.
The graveside memorial service will be 1 PM Friday, Feb. 16 at Mt. Auburn
Cemetery, 20501 Brink St., Harvard, IL 60033. Pastor Claire Brennecka will
officiate. Also, a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
