Mary Jane Conley
St. Charles – Mary Jane Conley, 90, of St. Charles formerly of Harvard passed
away peacefully Saturday, February 10, 2018 at River Glen of St. Charles. She
was born April 9, 1927 in Rockford to Alfred and Emma (Porath) Koltz. She
married Edwin (Ed) L. Conley June 11, 1949 in Harvard.


Mary Jane was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Harvard.  She previously
worked at Jerry Powers Laundry and Putnam Company in Harvard.  Many
summers were spent planting and tending to vegetable gardens with Ed and
following the beloved Cubs and Bulls.  Quilting was a favorite pastime.  She
enjoyed family gatherings especially the many family picnics she and Ed hosted.

 
Survivors include her 3 children, Rita (Bob) Burnham of Elburn, John (Trisha)
Conley of Wheaton and Jim Conley of Bettendorf, Iowa; 2 grandchildren, Nataliya
and Ian Conley; sister-in-law, Phyllis Koltz of Florida; and many nieces and
nephews.


She was preceded in death by her husband; brother, Charles Koltz; and 2 sisters,
Phyllis LaBadie and Marguerite Rich.


The visitation will be from 10 am to 11 am Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Trinity
Lutheran Church, 504 E. Diggins St., Harvard. The funeral service will follow at the
church with Rev. Elizabeth Martin officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery
in Harvard.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or River Glen
of St. Charles, 975 N. 5th Ave., St. Charles, IL 60174.
